From the East 2012

My Brothers:

I feel both privileged and honored to have been elected Worshipful Master of Brainard Lodge No.102 for the year 2012 at our 2011 Annual Meeting. I am very excited about the upcoming year and I know that the officers of Brainard Lodge are too. I have had the opportunity to speak with many of the incoming Masters of  the 8th Masonic District and each of us has great expectations for 2012. The phrase I have heard most often was “Lets Have Fun”. We, the Masters, the officers and the Lodges all want to work together, and make the year successful for the entire 8th District. Some of the things that are going to be happening are a Full Form Master Mason Degree with the officers and members of Wooster No.10, Brainard No.102 and Oxoboxo No.116 in March at Wooster No.10, a joint Table Lodge with Union No.31, Brainard No.102 and Bay View No.120 in April. I would like to see us have an 8th Masonic District “Ladies at the Table” in May. I would like Brainard Lodge to get more pro – active in New London County. Among the programs we will be having are programs on “Donate Life”  and “Care and Share”, I will also be having representatives from Masonicare coming to the Lodge and speaking to us and to our guests about the programs they have to offer. These programs will feature speakers from the different organizations and will be open to the public. We will advertise and we will have a dinner with the proceeds going to that particular organization. While on the subject of programs, if a Brother feels strongly about an organization and would like to do something for them, speak to me and we’ll talk about it in Lodge.  If you want to be the chairman or co – chairman of a program, take it on, you will have the support from the Lodge. And yes my Brothers, we will be doing degree work this year. With the exception of an Organist, we have a full line of officers. If we don’t have a candidate of our own, I will beg, borrow or steel a candidate from another Lodge. Finally my Brothers, be of good cheer, we are going to have a good time this year, we are going to have fun and we will continue to progress as a Lodge and a Band of Brothers, among whom no contention or rather emulation should ever exist except that noble contention or rather emulation of who best can work and best agree.

Welcome to Our Lodge

Welcome to the Lodge Website for Brainard Lodge #102 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons.

niantic_masonic_temple_resized.jpgAs Connecticut Freemasons we embrace the tenets of Friendship, Morality and Brotherly Love. We do this by using the teachings of Freemasonry to better ourselves, our community and each other. At our lodge we make Masons and here at our website we show you our history, activities and schedule of future events.

The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door. You can read more about out Lodge here.

Feel free to browse our site, investigate us and Freemasonry! See for yourself what we are doing here. We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world. If you have any questions about who we are, or what we do, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You will never be asked to join. You must let one of us know of your interest.
