Dear Brothers,

Five years ago I became a member at Brainard Lodge # 102.  I remember Brother Ralph Green’s words the day I was raised: “You get as much out of Masonry as you are willing to put in”.  During my journey to the oriental chair I found this motto true over and over again, as have the line of officers behind me.  I’m extremely proud to have the support of my fellow officers who have all contributed so much to this lodge and Masonry.  In 2010 I will dedicate my energy to further developing the fraternal activities which were so successfully implemented by my predecessors – activities that focus on family, community and of course our fraternity.  As so often mentioned in our lectures, it is the ritual which cements us together and I want to invite each of you; every brother of Brainard Lodge, to come to Lodge and see for yourself how much pride our line of officers displays with their floor work.  2009 was a challenging year due to the economy.  Lost jobs, financial pressure and other worries linger on many brothers’ minds.  It is during such times when our fraternal love and friendship can be a soothing element.  Every second Tuesday of the month you have the opportunity to spend a few hours among brothers and take a break from daily worries.  It is my and my officer’s intention to increase the time we spend on socializing and give all brothers a chance to get to know each other even better.

On January 9^th we will have the installation of the 2010 officers of Brainard Lodge.  Until then I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
